27th Meeting of the UN Road Safety Collaboration 2019 The meeting assembled over 90 people, on behalf of international organizations, governments, NGOs, academia, foundations and private companies. The meeting highlighted the importance to integrate road safety more clearly into the broader development agenda, stressing for example the links between road safety, public transport and gender equity. They also referred to the innovative approach pursued in planning for the conference referring to the broad scope of actors targeted (from environment, health, urban planning, industry) and the increased involvement of private sectors players.

Fifth United Nations Global Road Safety Week 2019 The goal of the global road safety week was to generate a demand from the public and the civil society to generate tensions for strong leadership for road safety, especially around concrete, evidence-based interventions which will save lives and to inspire leaders to take the plunge by showcasing examples of strong leadership for road safety within governments, international agencies, NGOs, foundations, schools and universities, and private companies

BriSaR Kick-off Meeting in Romania, from 12th - 13th of December 2019. The first project meeting of BriSaR project was held in Sinaia, Romania. The event was organised and led by European Strategies Consulting and representatives from all four countries (Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Romania). During this first meeting, the aim of the project, its objectives and Intellectual Outputs were presented. Partners reviewed and discussed the project’s implementation plan, including the tasks and goals for the upcoming months. Furthermore, feedback was provided on the Literature guidelines developed within IO1 – Literature Review on road safety and previous programmes.

3rd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety 2020 The Conference was an opportunity for representatives to share successes and lessons from the application of the Global Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011–2020: chart future strategic directions for global road safety up to 2030 and beyond and define ways to accelerate action on proven strategies to save lives. The Conference also provided an opportunity to link road safety to other sustainability challenges.

Future Events
The ICRTSVS 2020: 14th International Conference on Road Traffic Safety and Vehicle Standards, Athens, Greece. The conference will be held between 22nd and 23rd October 2020. It aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Road Traffic Safety and Vehicle Standards.

The National Road Safety conference , Harrogate, United Kingdom. The conference will take place between 10th and 11th November 2020. The National Road Safety Conference held in November each year, the National Road Safety Conference is Road Safety GB’s flagship annual event. The conference moves around the country and is hosted and organised each year by a Road Safety GB Regional Group or Groups.

The 2020 Montana Traffic Education Conference Great Falls, Montana. The conference will be held between 25th and 27th April 2021. The annual spring Montana Traffic Education Conference--jointly sponsored by the Montana Traffic Education Association (MTEA) and the Office of Public Instruction--is open to traffic education teachers, traffic safety professionals, and anyone interested in traffic education and teen driver safety.

The CARSP/PRI 2020 Joint Conference, Montréal, Québec. The conference will take place in June 2021. The theme of the conference is “Equitability: Road Safety for all through Vision Zero and Sustainable Safety”. Equitability was chosen to highlight the need for “road safety for all” across road users, between countries and between rich and poor. Deficiencies in “road safety for all” is something experienced universally.

The ICTTP 2020 7th International Conference on traffic and transport psychology, Gothenburg, Sweden. The conference will take place between 24th and 26th August 2021. The conference philosophy is Taking the Vision Zero Initiative into a New Decade. The Swedish Vision Zero Initiative on road safety is an ethical standpoint that no-one should die or be seriously injured in traffic.
